Here are a couple of pictorial histories of the first two semesters of the Learning Garden's after-school program.

Fall 2007

The garden was started from a blank slate. Lots of wide open space, and mud. The students designed and built garden beds--a challenging exercise in teamwork!

After all that work, we planted some cool-season veggies.

The students assembled wooden cold frames, using power tools--how fun! In addition to the traditional cold frames, we built several structures to shield young plants from the upcoming winter weather.
